Our school is officially accredited by the Ministry of Education and registered in the Register of
Schools and Educational Institutions in accordance with Section 143 et seq. of the Education
Act. This means that our education has full state validity, certificates are internationally
recognized, and the school is regularly inspected by the Czech School Inspectorate, which
verifies the quality of teaching, professional standards of teachers, and the safety of the
learning environment. Accreditation guarantees that your child’s education takes place at
a school that meets high professional standards, offers transparent assessment, and provides
a stable and trustworthy environment for personal development. Regular inspections take
place every 6 years.
IB Diploma Programme
We are an IB World School offering the prestigious IB Diploma Programme (International Baccalaureate). As an accredited British School Overseas (BSO), Leonardo V. Academy provides education comparable to British schools in the United Kingdom at both primary and secondary levels. This accreditation confirms the high quality of teaching and demonstrates that school life is conducted in an international spirit using modern pedagogical methods.
To obtain and maintain accreditation, the school undergoes inspections by representatives of the UK Department for Education. Regular inspections take place every 3 years.
COBIS – Council of British International Schools
We are a member of COBIS, a council of British international schools. Pearson Edexcel
We are an accredited partner of the British examination board Pearson Edexcel. Teaching in Years 10 and 11 is designed to prepare students for the international IGCSE examinations, which are taken at the end of Year 11. Pearson Edexcel is the largest British examination organization, and its certificates are internationally recognized. Students therefore study using modern teaching methods while gaining qualifications that support further studies and university admissions in the Czech Republic and abroad.
