ENROLLMENT
Enrollment for Year 1 Leonardo V. Academy Elementary School and Grammar School for the 2026/2027 school year
We invite children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 to enroll in Year 1.
Compulsory school attendance begins in September 2026 for children who reach the age of 6 by 31 August 2026.
A total of 40 pupils will be admitted for the 2026/2027 school year.

Elementary School and Grammar School Leonardo V. Academy, Dlouhá 34, Praha 1
The child must attend the enrollment accompanied by at least one legal guardian.
Registration consists of three parts and is submitted electronically via the links below:

We will confirm your enrollment appointment once all three parts have been received.
Documents required at enrollment:

Legal guardian’s identity card (for identity verification)

Document confirming the child’s permanent residence

If the child is a foreign national: proof of residence in the Czech Republic and the child’s passport

The school’s philosophy is available on our website or during the Open Day (information at tel.: 777 175 577).
School readiness and prerequisites for bilingual education are assessed during the enrollment process through a short interview and simple activities conducted in Czech or English. During the enrollment, you will have the opportunity to personally discuss your motivation and expectations regarding your child’s entry into the school with the school director.
Admission decision:

The admission decision will be published within 30 days of the enrollment (on the school website under an anonymous code and posted on the school premises

A decision of non-admission will be delivered by post to the legal guardian

An appeal against non-admission may be submitted to the school director within 15 days of receiving the decision
Deferral of compulsory school attendance:
-
A request for deferral must be submitted by the legal guardian to the school director at the time of enrollment, no later than 31 May 2026

The request must be supported by a recommendation from the relevant educational counselling center and by a specialist doctor or clinical psychologist
Enrollment for the Preparatory Class / British Year 1 Elementary School and Grammar School Leonardo V. Academy for
the 2026/2027 school year
We invite children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, who will reach the age of 5 by 31 August 2026, to enroll in the Preparatory Class / British Year 1.
A total of 15 pupils will be admitted for the 2026/2027 school year.

Saturday 7 February 2026 9h a.m. - 1h p.m.

Administrative Fee
The school has set an administrative fee of 12,000 CZK for processing the application. n the event that the applicant is not successful during the admission procedure and is not accepted, the school will refund 100% of this fee. Please transfer the administrative fee to the school’s bank account: 1388147336 / 2700 In the payment reference/message for the recipient, please include the full name of the applicant and date of birth.
